5 STAR REVIEW : Midnight Lily by Mia Sheridan

MIDNIGHT LILY

Holden Scott is the prince of professional football. At least he was before he lost it all . . . or more to the point, before he threw it all away. Now he's out of a job, out of the public's good graces, and perhaps just a little out of his mind. So when a friend offers up his remote lodge in the wilds of Colorado, giving Holden some time away to get his life back on track, he can hardly say no. The last thing he expects is to see a beautiful girl in the woods—one wearing a white, lace dress who appears in the moonlight, and leaves no footprints behind. Is she a dream? A ghost? A product of his muddled imagination? Or something entirely different?

Midnight Lily is the haunting love story of two lost souls reaching for each other in the dark. A tale of healing, acceptance, and the worlds we create to protect our own hearts. It is a story of being lost, of being found, and of being in the place between.

This is a stand-alone Sign of Love novel, inspired by Virgo Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

REVIEW
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

OMG, my mind is blown!!! Mia Sheridan is well known for her overwhelmingly beautiful writing skills. She manages to weave the most intricate details into her characters and plot twists leaving you with a feeling like you have been broken down and put back together again.

Midnight Lily is no exception but I feel like Sheridan took this book one step further to make the reader really think and search this magical book for its hidden secrets.  You must follow the story and try not to overthink it.  Put yourself in the characters shoes and feel what it would be like to lose yourself and have that one person there to catch you when you come back.

A few readers found this book to be confusing or feel like it was lacking in detailed explanation I, however, do not agree. I feel that Sheridan wrote this book with a certain reader in mind one that could also see the story for what it was while getting lost in the mystery of a more than evident back story staring right at you. You see all you need is an over-imaginative mind and the sensitivity of an artist.  There you will find your answers.

Apart of me wants to draw a map filled with the clues that some readers will need to put the entire story together but that would take the fun and magic out of this amazing healing story of true love.
