5 STAR REVIEW: Becoming Calder & Finding Eden by Mia Sheridan

BECOMING CALDER & FINDING EDEN
TWO-PART SIGN OF LOVE SERIES INSPIRED BY AQUARIUS

There is a place in modern-day America with no electricity, no plumbing, and no modern conveniences. In this place, there is no room for dreams, no space for self-expression, and no tolerance for ambition.

In this place, there is a boy with the body of a god and the heart of a warrior. He is strong and faithful and serves his family honorably. But he dares to dream of more.

In this place, there is a girl with the face of an angel and a heart full of courage. To her family, she is the vision of obedient perfection. But she dares to want that which she has been told can never be hers.

Becoming Calder is the story of good versus evil, fear versus bravery, and the truth that the light of love has always found its way into even the darkest of places . . . From the beginning of time to the end of the world.

THIS IS THE FIRST PART IN A TWO-PART SIGN OF LOVE SERIES INSPIRED BY AQUARIUS. THE SECOND PART, FINDING EDEN, RELEASES SIMULTANEOUSLY. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and graphic sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Finding Eden is the continuation, and conclusion, to Becoming Calder.

When the world as you know it has ended, when all that you love has been washed away, where do you find strength?

When the new world you've stepped into is as isolating as the last, when your heart is broken, and your future is unclear, where do you find hope?

Finding Eden is a story of strength, discovery, forgiveness, and undying love. It is about believing in your destiny and following the path that leads to peace.

THIS IS THE SECOND PART, AND CONCLUSION, IN A TWO-PART SIGN OF LOVE SERIES, INSPIRED BY AQUARIUS (BECOMING CALDER SHOULD BE READ FIRST). New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and graphic sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

REVIEW
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This review was difficult to write.  When I sat down to start it I immediately want to say so much about the first book in a two-book series and touch on the important parts that each character plays to make this book so beautifully haunting and touching.  Then I realized I couldn't do my review without talking about the second book in the conclusion of Calders and Edens story so I decided to combine them into one review.

For this review, I felt it would be simpler to tell you how this story made me feel verses recapping the books for you.  How it would make others feel and how this story leaves you with so much hope.

The fight, struggle and hope that Calder's and Eden's share is soul-wrenching.  I can't believe how these two people found such a beautiful love in the most horrendous conditions. I felt like I was watching these two characters grow and develop from afar and was a privileged onlooker that got to peak into there most personal memories and moments.  This for me made this story feel more than real.  It made me question if the story didn't hold some truth behind it and I caught myself from wanting to search the internet to find some similarities to their story but thought better of it.

This story really takes hold of you as a person and hold of your heart.  I cried and shook with anger for Calder and Eden.  What little joy they were able to share brought me some brief peace throughout the book.  But their story is not for the faint of heart.  Let it be known this is not a love story for all and is not a typical boy meets girl and falls in love. These unfortunate souls must endure, heartache, evil, hatred and struggle unlike any I have ever known.  Many times I found myself wanting to scream and in some cases, I would gasp and cover my mouth in absolute shock.

Two have never been more perfect for each other and there have never been two more perfect characters to endure the hell they must go through to just live let alone try to be together.  I found myself pushing forward through this book with the hope that these two had to be together.  Calder and Eden give you hope to keep pushing through not only these two books but through your own life.  They are the perfect examples of not so perfect love or life yet they hope to find the best as they continue on.

All and all this book is not just a work of art it has given me great respect for what Mia Sheridan creates.  These two books are among the best I have ever read and most memorable.
